WEEK TEN

That week I was unable to do much because of work. I was required to work full-time that week and I spent most of the week at the workshop. This also affected the technology project a bit, but nothing that cannot be solved and deal with.

WEEK NINE

Nothing new but just continuing with the individual part of the project. I have been very busy with work and have been trying to get as much done as possible. The information that was found at that week was not that great, so I needed to collect new fresh information from the internet.

WEEK 8

With the group assignment handed in we have the individual part now to do. We have most of the information that is needed but we need to expand a bit more. There is no more need to visit the workshop but to look more into the finance and stuff like that.I talked with my colleague and had a look at some of the information that we could share.

WEEK 7

Th assignment was due on Tuesday and a copy was emailed to Naranjin by Caesar. That week was the panel discussion. The panel discussion was a great opportunity that helped me and my colleague see others views on the various aspects that our projects have been based on. I thought it weak that very few was able to build a strong links with the legislation's the real world during the discussion including myself. Now that leaves just the individual reports to be done. It was a good learning opportunity for us all.

WEEK 6

The above week I reported to class as usual then left for the library to do research. Progress on our report is good. Most of the literature has been done with just the legislation's to be inserted. The photographs have been applied but still need explanation to be done. Some photos need changing.

WEEK FIVE

My colleague and I decided not attend the above session at the above date but rather use the time to go out and visit the workshop. That day we went to the workshop with some focus questions to ask the manager. Unfortunately, my colleague was required to work so I had to go and collect the information for our our combined report. The report is going well so far wit some progress made. The draft has been written and will continue to work the focus questions we had for our project.

WEEK FOUR

My work partner was late to class that morning. However I made sure that I was there so that we are not lost with any updates from Naranjin. We had met the wee before and did some research and the project is going well. After leaving class, my colleague and I had a short meeting in terms of the best day to visit he workshop before heading to carry out our own individual tasks as planned. We are just having some difficulties because of work and the fact that my colleague lives far from Unitec.

WEEK THREE

My work partner was not at the class that day. But we communicated and also went to the workshop to collect some information for our assignment that day. I also took some photographs for the project. The project is going OK so far with some progress already made. We planned also that at some stage during that week,we will try and meet up to do some research at the library.

WEEK TWO

This week, Niranjan gave us the assignment package, and explained what we need to do, and what we need to achieve from this course. The first assessment we are going to do is review the operation of an automotive or related business facility, and produce a report to see how its operation and compare their activities with current regulation and legislation, identify problems encountered in the business and find solutions. I thinks this is a good practice for us. After we finished this degree, our long term goal is to become the service manager or run our own automotive business, so understand all regulation and legislation of this industry are critical for us, and a very important skill we need to have is to find out problems, then decide which is critical, and find out the solution to solve that. I was thinking to do the review of the workshop that I am working in, but when we work in the facility, it is hard to see the whole picture of it, and we may get use to the way how the shop operates, the result is hard to find out the critical problems. My idea is, find another workshop, different location, different size, different people work in there, so I can compare how they operates, how different people use different way to solve the same problem, and refer to the regulations and legislations, to decide which is the better way to do in the future.

WEEK ONE

This is the first week of semester two, but I missed the class because I didn't know there is a class on Thursday.
